Me and my brother made a discovery a while back that the textures of Mario Kart Wii are constantly reloaded from the RAM as you race around the tracks. Which means that if you change them while racing on the track, then that change will happen in real time, before your eyes, heh. This video is a demonstration of applying patches from the SZS Modifier server to the courses while still racing on them ;) Quite a sight! This feature is available in the newest version of the SZS Modifier to anyone who has a USB Gecko available to them. You can test texture hacks or make modifications live while racing on the course, as seen in the video. NOTE: This was done using an ORIGINAL Mario Kart Wii, not the ISO. Texture hacking like this using USB Gecko could work on Wiis up to v4.1 if you have the Homebrew Channel already. No fake discs required! Thanks to Chadderz for coding the SZS Modifier! If you wish to try this out for yourself, you will need a USB Gecko. These might be hard to come by nowadays, but you should be able to track one down on eBay at least… Texture hacks shown in this video (in order of appearance): Luigi’s Volcano Raceway (by MrBean35000vr) www.youtube.com Wario’s Space Mine (by MrBean35000vr) www.youtube.com Mario’s Green Circuit (by ScooP) www.youtube.com Mario’s Lava Road (by ScooP) www.youtube.com
